Morgan appeared in a documentary video Safe Sex for Men and Women that addressed AIDS prevention and education. Morgan gave a percentage of her earnings for the American Foundation for AIDS Research. She is a member of the Entertainment Industry's AIDS Task Force. Morgan is a part of the Entertainment Industry's AIDS Task Team. Morgan has also led numerous other fundraising initiatives in the fight against AIDS and has testified in front of a special Congressional Commission regarding AIDS Education. Morgan is a member of the Board of Governors of APLA, and of Amfar's Board of Directors. Former Surgeon-General C. Everett Koop has requested her to be his substitute during AIDS celebrations and she's been the host of an AIDS Awareness Special featuring news anchorman Steve Bell. Ted Koppell has interviewed her two times about AIDS during Nightline. Morgan won the Emmy Award in Diane English's special Murphy Brown episode that was made specifically for Morgan. In spring, she was a guest with Joan Rivers on ABC's Your Money or Your Wife. Her summer started with Murder At The PTA Luncheon that was created by Von Zerneck/Sertner and also starred Cindy Williams and Marla Gibbs. Morgan then appeared in Harmony Gold's production Sherlock Holmes and the Leading Lady that starred Christopher Lee and Patrick McNee. Morgan also appeared in the film, a psychological thriller that was produced by USA Network. The film garnered one of its most impressive ratings to date.
